Description

This quality mounting anchor can be fixed to the wall as well as to the ground. Its 16 mm thick shackle made of specially hardened steel offers the greatest resistance. If you combine this device with an ABUS lock, you are taking excellent precautionary measures to prevent your bike from being stolen.

In fact, the GRANIT™ WBA 100 Wall/Floor Anchor is so strong when installed properly, that its use in rental properties should be discussed with landlords in advance. Once installed, it can only be removed with considerable effort – and this is a good thing.

    What size chain the anchour would accomodate.

    Abus WBA100- What a great piece of kit to deter the bike thief. I needed a ground anchor that would take a 12mm thick chain that had been wrapped in insulation and taped to the eye balls and this anchor was exactly that! You'll need a 16mm drill bit and a heavy duty drill, you have to drill 4 holes 90mm deep to accommodate the anchor bolts, that was the only hard part of the job. I'm happy knowing the bike is safe at home in the garage.

    Sturdy

    Exactly what I was expecting. Sturdy anchor for my motorbike chain. Big ring means most chains will fit through easily.

    Brilliant

    Super solid anchor point. Took my time drilling the holes. all worked first time. Needs at least 5, 10 and 16mm masonary drills to ensure position right. Only tricky bit was getting the ball bearings into the hex head screw area afterwards - had a habit of bouncing out to start with.

    Well made and strong

    Bought this ground anchor to go with my Abu’s granit 2 metre chain and lock , good combination as with a high strength rating of 17&19 not only hard to break but,also reduced my bike insurance.highly recommended (bikerjoe 50 years biking )

    German quality that inspires confidence.

    Excellent and exactly what I needed to chain my motor bicycle outside. Looks good and does the job. Accept no substitute. All my security products are by Abus. Not cheap but quality never is.

    Good product but a little over priced

    Great solid product, but a little over priced for what it is, and instructions are sparse. This is one of the few ground anchors I've seen that can actually fit a decent sized chain through the loop, so there wasn't really much choice. The folding down design makes it more practical than a rigid design. I'd recommend drilling the holes into the concrete in 3 stages; small, medium, then 16mm drill bit. This makes it a lot easier to drill and more precise too.
