Description

The BORDO™ 6000 Folding Lock features six 5 mm steel bars connected with special rivets, which fold together like a yardstick. This is familiar territory for ABUS – the locks in the ABUS BORDO™ family have gained a reputation as true classics whose functionality has nevertheless yet to be surpassed. The ultra-sturdiness of the bars and body (manufactured from specially hardened steel) is matched by the flexibility of the BORDO™ 6000's folding system.     Gutes Schloss

    Tolles Ding, aber sehr klobig in der Handhabung, eher gewöhnungsbedürftig, etwas zu groß, man kann fast das ganze Fahrrad umwickeln.

    Augen auf

    Bei der Auswahl eines Faltschlosses den hinteren Wert 85 , 90 oder 120 beachten. Das ist wichtig Konnte das erste Schloß ohne Probleme zurückschicken ( 85 ist zu klein ) Die Haltetasche ist auch leicht zu montieren und daher ist alles perfekt, aber vorallem wurde es schnell geliefert!

    Lock Stiff To Open

    Just bought the lock but does seem well-made, initially the key did not work to unlock it. The part that comes open is the link opposite the key hole, my lock was very stiff so once I had fully inserted and turned the key I still had to give the link a strong pull to free it.

    A weighty lock but only silver standard

    The lock was on offer and I wanted something which I could easily carry and would fit around a back wheel and frame. I use a Gold standard U lock in adition to this which gives me assurances since people who own this lock in London have put doubt in my mind - if I used only this. The lock is heavy, easy to get around a securing pole, wheel and the frame without it being a stuggle. The rubber 'strap/ holder' is good and I have not had any concern that it would drop off or the lock would be lost. I am happy to use it with another gold standard lock (and this is a requirement from my insurance company) - for the price I paid I am happy that it does what I need.

    Easy to use & safe

    This bike lock is great because it's very long and flexible. You can easily lock a wheel, the frame and a pole together no matter how you position your bike. I'm also happy with how thick the lock is. It seems very safe.

    Screw holes not standard spacing

    I couldn't use the provided straps for the holder because of shape of my bike's frame, nor were there holes in the right place for my bottle cage fixing. So, in order to fix it to my bike I had to drill a new hole through the metal plate and plastic holder in the right place. I also had trouble finding out how the lock actually unlocks. It looks a solid Sold Secure silver grade lock, though.

    Best for ebikes.

    Very strong and so good I have 2 attached to different bikes although it is easy to move from one bike to another ( one bike is in U.K. and one in France. Very heavy and not suitable for road bikes, both mine are ebikes.

    Your Cycle is secure.

    I use this lock to secure my Azub Ti-Fly trike, I love my trike, and it is very expensive so I use the best lock I could find.
