The strong 13 mm parabolic shackle, the sturdy lock body and the supporting elements of the locking mechanism of the GRANIT™ XPlus are made of specially hardened steel. The innovative, patented ABUS Power Cell technology also protects your motorbike effectively against hitting and pulling attacks. And the ABUS XPlus cylinder in the GRANIT™ XPlus 540 shows lock-picking thieves the red card.

This quality U-lock is supplied with 2 keys, one of which is an LED torch key. Should you need additional keys, or even a replacement, simply contact us directly with the ABUS Code Card provided.

    Good sturdy bike lock

    I bought this lock as I leave my bike in the street in London. The rubber coating is good to not only protect the bike but also reduces the noise when using it. The lock is fairly heavy and quite long which limited the areas I could attach it for storage on the frame, however this is an acceptable trade-off for such a sturdy and versatile lock.

    excellent quality

    After much research I purchased this to secure my electric bike. It's gold star secure something certain insurance companies will insist on for bikes over a certain value. However, I bought it purely to deter thieves. The other aspect I liked was that it could be fitted in lots of different places depending on how the frame of the bike is designed.

    Solid Lock

    It’s difficult to review a lock that will hopefully never be put to test for the features it boasts. However, the lock seems very well made with good materials, the locking mechanism is positive and easy to use. The lock has a rubbery type covering that prevents it from “clanging” on your bike and rocking the paint job. It comes with a couple of keys; one with a light, the other is a nice compact size. I haven’t used the lock carrier to attach the lock to the frame so unable to offer any comments on it. According to some reputable cycling magazines it is one of the best locks on the market.

    Great lock, feels very safe

    The lock is quite sturdy and feels very safe. It still locks and unlocks very smoothly with the key after almost a year of use (I've owned other D locks which became increasingly difficult to open with time - not the case for this one). The only negative thing is that it rattles a bit in its case, making some noise while I'm cycling. I still haven't figured out how to solve this problem.

    Sold Secure Gold and very sturdy

    Having bought a new Carbon Fibre road bike and insured it, I needed to have a Gold standard bike lock for when I park it. I looked at a selection of these and eventually settled on the Granit-X plus. Fitting it is very simple, the lock is very sturdy and the key fits smoothly and very positively. The lock bar goes close tot he bike Fram after looking it to a secure bike stand and I do couple the lock with a cable through the front wheel to prevent that being stolen as well. I do like the light that is included in one of th keys, this is a great help when unlocking the bike from the security staple in my shed and I can see this would be great at night as well. Overall I'm happy with this lock. I don't know if it will protect my bike; if a thief is determined nought they will get what they're after but hopefully seeing this one being used will make then look to the next bike in the line.
